E Crofts Funeral services was held Friday in inthe inthe the Orderville Ward Chapel for forJohn forJohn forJohn John Edward Crofts 89 Mr Crofts died after a stroke February 21 at his home MR CROFTS was the founder of the first lumber dry kiln and first hand sawmill sawmill saw saw- mill in Utah lie He spent his adult life time in the lumber business with interests In Southern Utah and British Columbia Canada Crofts and Pearson Industries which includes a timbering milling dry kiln and plant is located in Panguitch His lIIs four sons are partners in the Crofts Croft's Vernal Mr Crofts retired several years ago from active management in the business but has maintained a vital interest in inthe inthe inthe the firm HE WAS born January 13 1883 in Monroe Sevier County to John and Ellen Crofts He lie married Mary Jane Hoyt June 7 1905 in the St. St George Temple She preceded him in death He then married Amy Heaton Esplin July 23 1960 Mr Crofts Crafts was a high priest in the Church and along time He lie was an accomplished carpenter andwood and andwood wood craftsman He lie made cedar chests and tables until his death IN 1954 he was presented with the conservation award of the thel Foresters Club Utah State Agricultural College for outstanding work and leadership In Inthe inthe inthe the natural resource development Survivors include his widow five daughters and five sons Lola Burrows Mrs John C.
