Show 44 YEARS AGO May 5 1922 Friday morning the commencement commencement cement exercises of the Uintah Academy cl class ss of 22 was held in the tabernacle with a large crowd present Diplomas were presented to twenty nine gra gra- gra graduates being the largest class in the history of the Uintah Academy Otis Weeks our popular young barber and Miss Jennie Noel a 1922 Senior of the Uintah Aca demy two popular young pee peo pIe of Ashley left Tuesday of last week for Salt Lake City where they were married inthe in inthe the temple They were accompanied by Miss Clara Noel also a Uintah Academy graduate this year who leaves for a mission in California Sheriff I L Richardson was in inthe inthe the Lapoint section the latter part of last week looking up a reported still in the section East and south of Lapoint he found a small but complete still and a quantity of booze but not the culprits The still had been moved three times in three days in trying to cover their tracks The supervising architect to today to day advised Senator King that plans for the public building at Vernal are now completed and ready for advertisement but are being held up awaiting are a re- re report port from the Inspector sent out to ascertain whether there is an abundance of building ma tribal to be had locally and al al- al also so to ascertain whether local contractors are anxious to bid bidon bidon on the work |
