Show mum Jp CHRIST N. TAKOS Funeral services for Christ N. Takos, 66, of 504 Copperfield, Bingham, were held Wednesday, August 31, at 2 p.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church, Holy Trinity, Salt (Lake City. Rev. Katsaris Officiated. Of-ficiated. iMr. Takos died Saturday, August Aug-ust 27, in a Salt Lake Hospital of cancer. A son of Nick and Evagelian Takos, he was born August 20, 1889, in Megara, Greece. He was married to Angeline Serko, July 1914 in Megara. He came to the United States in 1916. He was employed as a switch tender by Kennecott Copper Corp. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Vyzas Society. He is survived sur-vived by his widow, a son and three grandchildren, all of Greece. ' Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Ceme-tery under direction of Bingham Mortuary. John Patrick Caulfield, 66, Long Beach, Calif., brother of James Parnell Caulfield, general manager of the western mining divisions of Kennecott Copper Corp., died Sunday, August 28, of a . heart attack while visiting relatives in Pleasant Grove. Mr. Caulfield was a mining engineer. For the past 12 years he has been associated with the U. S. Army engineers in a civilian capacity. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hyland Caulfield, Salt iLake City; two brothers, James H., Copperton, and J. Parnell, Par-nell, Salt Lake City, and one sister, Mrs. J. Curtis Haire, also of Salt Lake City. Holy Rosary was held Tuesday at 372 E. 1st South; Salt Lake City, and requiem mass was recited re-cited in the Holy Innocence Church in Long Beach, Calif. Burial was in the Sunset cemetery, ceme-tery, in Long Beach. ANN YENGICH YANCEY Requiem mass for Mrs. Ann Yengich Yancey, 34, former Utahn, who died Sunday, August Aug-ust 28, at Oakland, Calif., of pneumonia, pneu-monia, was held Thursday, September Sep-tember 1, at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Ther-esa Catholic Church, iMidvale. Mrs. Yancey was born May 27, 1921, in Bingham to iMatt and Eva rklacich Yengich. She was married to Ralph Yancey, January Janu-ary 26, 1943, in Salt Lake City. She was a member of the Catholic Cath-olic Church. Survivors include her mother, Mid vale; daughter, Karen Ann, Taylorsville; two brothers, Pete and Matt Yengich, iMidvale; and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Montoya, Bingham; Mrs. Rose IMorandi and Mrs. Helen Radovich, IMidvale. Burial was in Murray City cemetery |
