| Show Sheep Creels Creek Road To be Open Soon I By the middle of October the school bus should be able to use the reconstructed Sheep Creek section of the Vernal Manila Highway and the road will be fully completed by the middle of November I I II I II THIS WAS reported Tuesday by Mayor Alvin Kay of the Chamber of Commerce road committee The work is being done on the flood destroyed section of State Highway 44 Present plans call for travel over the two de de- de detour tour routes before winter sets in The creek channel through the deep canyon near the Ben nett Ranch has been routed re-routed with the road built on the east eastside eastside side of the creek for a little littlemore more than a mile below Pal Pali Park and then on the west side for the remainder of the route to the ranch BETWEEN THE ranch and Sheep Creek Gap final base gravel has been laid prior to paving Paving is underway on five miles through Dowds Dowd's Hole The section from Sheep Creek to Palisades Park is nearing completion and oiling will take place this fall A high volume of traffic is re- re reported re ported over oyer both the alternate route and the Birch Creek sec Lion tion which Is reserved for heavy vehicles |
