Show Homemakers Organize Here HereBY BY GLENDA LANDON REPORTER Monday night at Uintah High School the Young Homemakers association held a business meeting and tasting bee under the direction of president Mary Goodrich and advisor Beth Or Or- Or Orton ton New members will be wel corned and membership is open to all young homemakers who are interested in improving their skills and exchanging ideas even though their hus husbands bands may not be members of the Young Farmer organization I The purposes of the tion were discussed and its five five- point program of education rec recreation finance service welfare and cooperation with ith the Young Farmers association A constitution for the local chapter was read and approved ed The following officers were elected and installed for the coming year president Diane Merkley vice president Grace Gardiner treasurer secretary Arlys Fletcher reporter Glen Glen- u da Landon and parliamentarian Mary Goodrich For the tasting bee a variety of delicious foods and drinks had been prepared and copies of the recipes were exchanged The next meeting will be an outdoor social with husbands held in June The date will be announced later |
