FUTURE FARMERS SET DATE the date tor for the annual annual parent and sons banquet has been set for thursday halx april ril ath the affair will be held in the uintah high school hot lunch barracks the planning is under tho the direction of linford batty uintah president rodents the chapter Is planning a rodent elimination contest the rodents to be eliminated will be those which are considered to be destructive to farmers crops such bu ch as magpies skunks the english sparrow etc ett the chap ter Is being divided into two sides and losing side has pledged to give the other side a party clean up uintah young farmers pledge themselves to cleanup and beautify the utah association 0 of I 1 young farmers has long recognized recognize d that utah Is one state that is in need of beautification and cleanup and now it has decided to do something about it at its last meeting at the state capaiol in salt Lake City the state young farmer officers adopted a resolution to launch an all out program among the chapters in the state to clean up and beautify the rural farm the program was discussed at the local chapter under the direction of roland merkley president it was voted unanimously by each member that he would pledge full cooperation in the program by putting forth what effort he could to improve the appearance and Uve ability clity 1 of his farm and home during the coming season income tax friday january 30 help was given to the young farmers in interpreting the federal income tax law as it pertains to fann fam ers all veterans and vo ag instructors were invited to attend the discussion which was under the direction of doyle landon vo va ag anstr A farewell social was held at the high school thursday for L L cook who has finished his assignment sign ment and who now is leaving with his wife mrs hattle hattie cook for bear lake where mr cook previously resided and which will now become their permanent home
