Show : local notes: Two players represented Bingham Bing-ham high .school in the annual North and South All-Star game played at Ogden last Friday night. They are Eddie Muhar, catcher, and Daryl Robertson, in-fielder. in-fielder. They were on the South team. The 32nd annual state Lions convention was held at Logan on June 10, 11 and 12. Those attend-; ing lrom the Bingham Canyon j Lion.s Club were Mr. and Mrs. j Odell Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Francis j Oswald, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Mor-1 ley and Jack Tallas. The con- vention was very interesting and j enjoyable. Miss Virginia Harris and Miss Pat Ablett are leaving Sunday, June 20th for Colorado Springs, Colo., where they will take an i eight week summer course in ! dance at Colorado College. They ! will study under Hanya Holm of: New York City. Daryl (Sonny) Robertson, sensational sen-sational Bingham high school shortstop, last Friday night signed sign-ed a professional baseball contract con-tract with the New York Giants and left shortly thereafter to report re-port to Danville, 111., of the Missouri-Ohio Valley (Class C) League. Lea-gue. Mrs. Sally Taylor just recently returned fiom a very enjoyable 16-day vacation to California where she visited in Glendora with her sister, Mrs. Frank Loon-ey, Loon-ey, and Ed and Lillian Shannon and also spent a week in Long Beach. Mrs. Looney returned to Bingham with Mrs. Taylor for a visit her with her and another sister, Mrs. George Manos. |
