Copperton Ward Primary officers of-ficers and teachers attending the Primary union meeting at River-i River-i ton First Ward were Mrs. Ber-nice Ber-nice Foster, Mrs. Norma Nichols, Mrs. Ruby Knudsen, Mrs. Delana De-lana Long, Mrs. Rosa Scroggin, Mrs. Bessie Dahlstrom, Mrs. Dorothy Sutherland, Mrs. Beverly Bev-erly Cox, Mrs. Betty Winn, Mrs. Lvelyn Ruvvlings, Mrs. Ada Curtis, Cur-tis, Mrs. Zclda Nix and Mrs. Irene Throckmorton. Mr. and Mrs. Tory E. Tobiason and daughter, First Lt. G. Lorraine Lor-raine Tobiason, left Wednesday morning for an indefinite visit with their son and bi other, Eddie Tobiason of Hurley, N. Mex. Saturday evening, March 20th, the birthday club met for dinner and dancing. Those being honored hon-ored were Mrs. Ada Jones, Ned Jones, Mrs. Mildred Johnson, Mrs. Kathryn Johnson and Miss Clara Secala. Each received a lovely gift. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Eskel Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hurley, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Brown of Midvale, R. J. "Bunny" Contratto and Miss Secala. Wayne Hansen is in St. Mark's hospital in Salt Lake City recovering re-covering from an appendectomy. Miss Clara Secala and R. J. "Bunny" Contratto of Murray were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hurley Monday evening. The social science lesson will be given next Tuesday at Copperton Cop-perton Ward Relief Society by Mrs. L. E. Snow. Mrs. Melba Fike was hostess to the pinochle club at her home Tuesday evening. Mrs. Dorothy Davis was an invited guest. Prizes Priz-es were won by Mrs. Gene Fike, first; Mrs. Maxie Johnson, second sec-ond and Mrs. Helen Cunliffe, I low. Delicious refreshments were served. James E. Hunter, 77, of Mid-vale, Mid-vale, stepfather to Prank La-Comb La-Comb of Copperton, passed a-way a-way last Thursday at his home of a heart ailment. Funeral services ser-vices were held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Midvale Second LDS ward. Copperton Study Guild met Monday night at the home of Mrs. Gwen Landcnberger with Mrs. Neva Jensen and Mrs. Edith Santistevan as hostesses. Bridge, canasta, and bingo were played with prizes going to Mrs. Nona Carrig:in at bridge, Mrs. Vonda Swain at canasta, Mrs. Ruth Kidd and Mrs. Norma Nichols at bingo. Dainty refreshments were served to twenty-four. Wednesday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson were Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Thorne and two sons of Riv-erton. sen of Midvale enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Doll House in Sal Lake City Saturday m company with Mr. and Mrs. Angus ; Christ-ensvn Christ-ensvn who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis De-Col De-Col were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Korse and children, Sherry Lee and Jackie, Mrs. LaMont DcCpl, Mrs. Blackburn .and children, JoAnn and David, all of Salt Lake City. Mrs. George Bolman returned home March 16th from a delightful delight-ful two weeks' visit m Tucson Ariz., with her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert . Bolman. A ... , , Martha Circle met Wednesday. March 17th in Salt Lake City at the home of Mrs. Max DuBois. Twenty members enjoyed a delicious de-licious one o'clock luncheon. A business meeting was conducted by president. Mrs. Lola Camp. Afterwards bridge was played with prizes going to Mrs. Othelid Barkle, Mrs. Pearl Benson. Mrs. Ida Bolman and Mrs. A ta Boyd Next Circle meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lou s Watson Wat-son of Copperton on April 7th. A miscellaneous bridal show-was show-was given in compliment to Miss Aria Olsen recently by Alia May Bennett of Salt Lake City. Attending At-tending from here were the honored hon-ored guest and her mother, Mrs. Ray Olsen. , Mr. and Mrs. Rmona Cowdell Cow-dell and Mr. andMrs. Jack Cow- A lovely mutual party was held Monday evening at eight o'clock at Copperton Ward. It was for the Glo class and their teacher is Mrs. Lola Cole. Refreshments Re-freshments were served by Carolyn Car-olyn Stoddart and Janell Hansen. Han-sen.
