Show , " - Y , if'i 1S1I A new and wholly different type of theatre came to Utah. It is the production of John Brown's Body by Stephen Vincent Benet. Cast is Tyrone Power, Raymond Massey, and Judith Anderson, together to-gether with the Walter Schumann Choral group of 20. Last two days for the performances are November 14 and 15, with matinees at 2:30. - Because the University of Utah Theatre arranged all six performances per-formances as one of its seven season attractions, it has been able to offer the show at record low prices. Tickets are only $1.50 and $2.00 for any of the performances. They are on sale at Kingsbury Hall or Glen Bros. Music Co. box offices, according to Gail Plummer, mgr. I Adapted and staged by the fabulous Charles Laughton, John Brown's Body is a complete departure from the bizarre and antiquated anti-quated stage production and is presented in an evolutionary manner which keeps one breathless, in suspense, amused, entertained, and exhilarated. It is a great tapestry of glory and fire and human tenderness, tend-erness, rich with tha heritage and history of our beloved country. |
