Show Tridcll Loma mcKee Phone 247-2350 L Residents bring home newborn Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Dean Goodrich are the parents of a boy born March 27 in the Ashley Valley Medical Center. The baby will be named Noah Dean and weighed 7 lbs. 7oz The families of Gene Wallace, Ron Stump and Ronald Wallace enjoyed the Easter w eekend in Perron, I'tah w ith the Gene Williams family. The Val Evans family of Sandy spent the Easter weekend at the Lester Bartlett home. The Bartlett home was the scene of a family dinner Sunday. Those present were the families of Val Evans. Rod Milled, Milo Webb and Fred and Neil Bartlett. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jensen of Highland and Mr. and Mrs. Winford Gray spent Easter weekend in Tridcll. Darlene McKee and friend of Vanderhoof. Canada visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Preston Taylor. Visiting at the DeVon McKee home last week were Kurtin Sorenson of Wells. Nev., LeAnn Gross of Dinney, X.M., Steve Ellsworth of Phoenix. Ariz., Morris Mor-ris McKee and Mr. and Mrs. Michael , Hall of Provo. Thev are all students at BYC. Bob Goodrich is home recuperating from an illness. He has been a patient at both the Vernal and Salt Lake hospitals. The Cub Scout pinewood derby was held Friday night at the cultural hall. Jason Smuin took first place. Brian McKee took second and Nathan Goodrich took third place. These boys will now compete in district competition. Mr. and Mrs. Ron McKee and their five oldest children left Thursday for Dallas, Texas to visit friends. They returned Wednesday. The McKees were former residents of Dallas. Mr. and Mrs. Benny Scholes of Roosevelt are now living with Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Simmons. Students from Tridell that were selected to participate in the Knowledge Bowl held in Vernal Thursday were Nathan, Linda and Corey Goodrich, Russell, Shari and Suzette McKee, Doris and Arlene Haslem, Warren Wilson, Jennifer Jen-nifer Simmons and Erik Merkley. The fourth grade from Todd entered the finals and Nathan Goodrich was one of the finalists. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Haslem have received receiv-ed word that their son, Elder Clair Haslem will be released from his LDS mission May 20. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon McKee received word from their son, Elder Darwin McKee, that he has been transferred from Capetown to Bloemfoutein which is several hundred miles further north. He now has an African for a companion. Donald and Wade Haslem spent Saturday Satur-day in Provo and Payson. Wade went back to Payson for a checkup on his knee. Vida and Sandy McKee went to Logan Saturday to visit Shirlie McKee and Sandy's San-dy's sister, Lois. A wrestling tournament for elementary elemen-tary schools was held last week at Todd School. Those from Tridell who placed in the competition were as follows: Christopher Merkley and Jared Wallace, first place and Jason Smuin, second place, in their weight divisions. Orland and Aaron Wallace and Danny Taylor placed in their division with Aaron and Danny taking first and Orland second. Visiting at the Dennis Goodrich home over the weekend were Steven Goodrich and friend, Rebecca Joyce Hitchcock of Santa Rosa, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Page spent the Easter weekend in Cleveland, Utah visiting Doug's sister, Eileen. Doug's mother accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Rae Goodrich received word this week that their son Jim Goodrich had just returned from Chili, South America on a church assignment. Mr. Goodrich accompanied other church leaders to this area to check on the health of LDS missionaries and church members. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Bartlett spent the weekend in Salt Lake City and Provo where they visited the Val Evans family fami-ly and Michael and Phyllis Hall. Velora Willis of Red Bluff, Calif., is in Tridell this week preparing to move her furniture to California where Mr. Willis has employment. |
