Mayor Kay explained in starting a new city there is necessity of borrowing money to begin with, then repaying it as quickly as possible. All bonds which are being used for general funds are expected to be retired in the 1984 fiscal budget. Although there may be changes before the final budget is adopted, there is now a overage of over $83,000. Councilman Dennis Judd said it is wise to have an overage because projected revenues may not be as much as expected, ex-pected, and certain costs may be highter than expected. He said adjustments ad-justments have been necessary in this year's budget and the same can be expected ex-pected next year. |
