Show Bonanza Mine sets no injuries goal No lost time injuries has been th the goal at American Gilsonite Company Bonanza Operations for quite some time An A Awards wards Incentive program was begun in March of 1976 to help attain this goal and awards prizes for each three month period without any lost time injuries The fhe operations was divided into three groups Mines Plants and Maintenance to work toward awards for safe work ON UN 1 MAY A Y 11 iI 11 1977 the Maintenance division was the first within the operation to Complete a full lull year without a disabling injury Supervisor George Gore and anil his crew Reed Anderson Clyde Burns eorge Hardinger E. E Wayne Johnson on Austin Steele Glen Mel Gray Dave pave Baker Sr Tom Douglas Dick Pick Hardinger Fran Peterson Bill BIB Thomson Tom Thomas Marlo Mario Bowthorpe Myron Hacking lacking W. W Les Ies Hullinger Red Rowen Bud Thomson and Bob Dob Winger have worked hard to reach this goal both in safety safely and in maintenance main jobs In recognition of this achievement each man also was given a five pound can of Vernal honey in addition to the regular awards program For the past year the divisions have been awarded prizes such as fishing rods sleeping bags and camp lanterns The Maintenance Main Maintenance division now that it has completed one year will be working toward additional awards Operations Manager Richard Dewey has expressed proud congratulations to these men and hope the they and theother the theother theother other divisions at American Gilsonite Company will continue con line to o work safe both at home and on the job |
