C Turner provided a plane and pilot to scatter handbills Asher Merkley donated pasture for the bucking horses Clyde and Orlan Johnson Ralph Milburn Karl Roberts Dee Ashel and La LaVell Veil Manwaring and Art Lundy sold tickets Ott Beebe Windy Burton and Jay Searle kept the team and calf roping raping events moving Joel Evans and Clark Feltch picked up the bronc riders and donated their team roping winnings to the hospital as did Elmer Caldwell his winnings Doc Jenkins and Jack Allred assisted in picking up bronc riders Earl Barl Calder and Long John the 65 year-old year Indian cowboy entertained with rope spinning Fitz Burton Harry AuMiller Tom Robbins and Earl Gadd acted as judges for all riding contests COMMISSIONERS COMi Forrest Goodrich and Ashel Manwaring supported the show overriding the dissenting vote of Alma Local businesses closed their doors during the performance per per- Clair Larsen of oC Roosevelt donated soda pop but Calder Brothers said if we wouldn't use it they'd donate two days pop and ice cream laughed Woodey and they we could sell So Soe we e used Clairs Clair's pop for the Jensen Ward Fund rodeo Rodeo tickets went for tor Ja cents for children end nd per adult and we cleared 1837 Part of the concessions and dance receipts went to Naples and Glines Ward building funds and the rest to the hospital fund Richard Gilbert will be there therewith therewith therewith with the sound system for the Sept 3 rodeo for the Senior Citizens trip to Disneyland this show will begin at and also for the Sept 5 hospital fund rodeo as he has done for the past 30 years Commissioner is supporting this one and said with a grin that he had been a trifle hasty 30 years ago Contestants should sign up Friday before 6 pm p.m. at al Searle Saving Center on the Maeser Road |
