Show TERRITORIAL NEWS.<br><br> SILVER REEF MINER: Diphtheria is prevailing to an alarming extent among the children of St. George, causing a suspension for the time being of all the schools in that city. Six victims of this dreadful scourge were buried last week. <br><br> NEWS: A man named Charles Rickard was killed on the 27th of last month in Emery County, by another man named Jacob Ivie. We have received no other particulars than are contained in the following verdict, rendered at the coroner's inquest upon the body of the deceased.<br><br> TERRITORY OF UTAH, Ferron Precinct. Emery County. An inquisition holden at Bishop Taylor's, in Ferron Precinct, Emery County, on the 7th of April, A. D. 1881, before the justice of the peace in Ferron Precinct, in said county, upon the body of Charles Rickard, there lying dead, by the jurors whose names are hereunto subscribed. The said jurors upon their oaths do say, that the said Charles Rickard came to his death on the 27th of April, by being struck with a neck-yoke in the hands of one Jacob Ivie; and from the evidence we have said Ivie acted in self-defense.
