Show Lecture Bureau In the minutes of the Y.M.M.I.A. conference, will be seen the names of five young men who were presented to and sustained by the conference as a lecture Bureau to act in connection with the superintendency of the Y.M.M.I.A. of this Stake. On Monday evening last, these five young men met at the ??? office and organized themselves as follows: President, B.F. Cummings, Jr; first counselor, James T. Hammond; second counselor, J.B. Car??? Secretary B.E. Hatch; treasurer, C.D.W. Pullmen pullmer. The Bureau thus organized, proceeded to prepare a list of such brethren in the county as it was thought would be competent and willing to deliver a lecture occasionally, during the present lecture season, who will at once be communicated with. There is little doubt but that most of the brethren thus applied to will consent, and thus there is good reason for the belief that the Bureau will be reasonably successful in its efforts to provide for the Y.M.M.I.A. of this Stake, intellectual amusement and instruction in the way of lectures and addresses, upon a great variety of subjects. It is the intention of the Bureau as soon as a sufficient fund shall be raised to pay the necessary expenses to invite lecturers from Salt Lake, Ogden, or other places outside of Cache Valley, to deliver lectures of addresses before some of our Associations. The attention of officers of the Y.M.M.I.A is called to an official notice form the Bureau, which appears elsewhere. |
