Show RUNAWAY - THREE CHILDREN HURT. Last Saturday forenoon Bishop Robert Davidson of the Third Ward was at the depot with his team. While he was a short distance from the wagon the animals became frightened, and despite the efforts of their owner, ran off at full speed toward their house. On reaching that place the horses ran on the sidewalk where there were three children, who were all more or less injured. Two of them were children of Bishop Davidson and the other a child of Mr. L. Nicholls. All of them had their faces bruised and the skin very much torn; while one of the former received a cut an inch in length at the at the but of the ear also a gash in the back of the head, and the latter had its ankle badly sprained. Dr. Ormsby was the attending surgeon. Besides the injury to the children, the wagon was almost entirely demolished being left in pieces by the way. The horses were at last captured after getting into the mire so they could not well help themselves. |
