Show Change of Agency. As our readers will know, the agency for the Schuttler wagon company at this point, for a number of years has been in the hands of Hon. M.D. Hammond. Mr. George A. Lowe, of Salt Lake City, has the general control of that business in this Territory; and Judge Hammond was acting as his representative or ??? agent. During this last week a change has been affected by mutual consent. M.D. Hammond retires from the business, and returns the same to Mr. Lowe; and that gentleman has appointed to succeed to the vacant position, George Barber, Esq., of Smithfield. In the number of years that Judge Hammond has conducted the business here, he has won nothing but golden opinions and the kindest feeling from all patrons of the house, and from the people generally; and there are very, very many who will regret to see his retirement. Nothing but a feeling of mutual esteem and highest respect exists between Messrs. Lowe and Hammond. The choice of a successor to the late agent is a very wise one. Mr. Barber is well and widely known in Cache County; and we are satisfied that both the company which he represents and the whole people will be satisfied with his management. |
