Show A NEW AGRICULTURAL MACHINE. Intelligent farmers know that machinery is cheaper than muscle; hence the demand for contrivances that will supercede the labor of hired help. One device of this kind which is highly spoken of by practical farmers is the "Albion Seeder," sold by Messrs. Paine & Mattison, next door to the post office. It harrows the seed ground thoroughly, sows the seed, and can be used as a cultivator for corn and potatoes, taking two rows at a time. It is a simple durable machine, and not easily got out of order, and is sold at a reasonable price. This firm, though opened for a few days only, are doing a remarkably heavy business. Besides the machine described they carry the Gale chilled plow, and a full line of agricultural implements. They are agents for the famous Mitchell wagon which they are selling very fast. They also carry a splendid harness, which they warrant. They have a large lot on the way, which they will open in a day or two. Call and view their premises if you want anything in their line. They have a large display ad. (advertisement) in the Leader, naming their specialties. |
