Show .BOY SCOUT WORK The Boy Scouts of Troop 118 lent an Impressive air to the Armistice Day celebration November 11th. During the school program, Scout h Donald Whltford, Douglas Smith and Wanu Plerson acted as color guard. Scout Whltford being the senior scout of the group, was in charge. He gave a brief history of the flag, and Its composition. Scout Smith gave a short sketch on the customary forms of respect re-spect due it. Scout Plerson acted as color scout. At the close of the short talks by the boys, Scout Whltford led the classes in The Pledge of Allegiance Allegi-ance to the flag. The ceremony was conducted in each of the class rooms. At the program conducted by the American Legion in the hall, the qualified quali-fied scouts saluted the colors In n body. It is an impressive sight to see the future of America stand and honor the grandest of all flags. Let us pray that Pacifism will never grow enough to slight the glorious traditions hewed from a wilderness by Men. The following boys have successfully passed their Tenderfooot examinations: examina-tions: Martin Wardle, Connley Davis, Douglas Smith and Wann Plerson. |
