Bowers was conducted at the ward hall Saturday at two o'clock !p. m. j The burial office from the Book of Common Prayer was read and addresses were made by Frank . Connor and R. G. Porter. A quar-;tet quar-;tet composed of C. C. Mickelson, j Rulon J. Larsen, James Mickelson 'and C. W. Smith, sang, "All Is Well With My Soul." The quartet was accompanied by Mrs. Leland ,Hair. Mrs. Grant Murdock and .' Mrs. Homer S. Liddell sang "Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs. A. M. Murdock. The many friends of Mr. Bowers remembered him with a profusion of floral tributes. Interment was , in the Duchesne cemetery. ! Mr. Bowers was a resident of the Basin since Its opening in 1905 when .took up a homestead on the Blue Bench. In 1923 he entered the newspaper business, operating this paper, known then as the Duchesne Courier. The paper has operated under Mr. Bowers' direction since then with the exception of a short period of time. Mr. Bowers was always interested inter-ested in civic matters. He was a member of all civic clubs in Duchesne Du-chesne during his period of residence. resi-dence. His support could be depended de-pended upon in matters of civic progress. The entire community extends its sympathy to Mrs. Bowers. |
