Show ALU ill DIES Hi HEBER Delbert Conklin.23 was Instantly Instant-ly killed, and his companion Harold Har-old Ralphs, both of Altonah, seriously ser-iously injured on the highway between be-tween Heber City and Keetley Wednesday evening, apparently having been struck by a bit and run driver. Mr. Ralphs, who received a severe sev-ere injury to the back of the head staggered into the Big Lakes Timber Camp at Hailstone, after the accident, but the injury had apparently affectedhia memory so that little information could be obtained from him. Men at the camp found Conk-lin Conk-lin at the side of the road with a broken spine and fractured skull. Both men were taken to Heber where Mr. Ralphs was taken to the hospital for treatment Word was sent to Sheriff Any H. Mitchell of Duchesne, who got in touch with Wm. A. Ralphs of Altonah, father of the injured man. Mr. Ralphs and Ed. Conklin, brother bro-ther of the man who was killed started for Heber immediately. From the Information available the young men who were apparently apparent-ly seeking employment must havo been hit by a truck, and left where they were hit. Mr. Conklin Conk-lin was single. Mr. Ralphs ts married. |
