Show Myton News by Grace Dalgleish Weekend visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Aften Richens were their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. -and Mrs. Newell Richens who are attending USU at Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Harding Hard-ing attended the testimonial honoring missionaries at the Assembly Hall in Temple Square Sunday. Their son Stewart Dennis completed his week at the mission home and will enter Brigham Young Univeristy at Provo for a two- j month course in the Polinesian ; language prior to leaving for the L.D.S. mission field in Brazil, ' South America. Many members of the Myton My-ton L.D. S. Ward attended the Myton Seminary Graduation at the State House in Roosevelt Roose-velt Thursday evening. Among the four year graduates were Jerry Allred, Julene Ross, Janet Abegglen, Kent Van Tassell, Barbara Martin, Susan Abegglen, Linda Ross and Jessie Fausett. The three year graduates w were Bert Jenson, Kay Johnson, Kent Haueter, Susan Whitmore,. Judy Jenson, Stanley Johnson, Nolan Morrill, Kenneth Richens Rich-ens and Jackie Uresk. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Page enjoyed a weekend visit from their daughter and son-in-law who with their baby came from Logan where Mr. Page is attending USU. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ross and family attended Sacrament meeting and Randlett Sunday and presented the program. Miss Bonnie Haueter, a student at USU at Logan was a weekend visitor at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Haueter. The Mutual Improvement Association of the Myton L.D.S. Ward participated in a cance at the American Legion Hall Tuesday evening. A large crowd was i- (tendance. Carl Van Ta' i9 president of the L.D.S. Indian Mission and son, Carl Jr. , Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shields and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Groves and daughter daugh-ter Merlyn attended the Scout banquet at Randlett Friday evening. even-ing. More than 100 persons were served. The group wishes to thank the many residents resi-dents of Myton who assisted by furnishing food for the ban- quct. Seven Indian boys returned with Mr. Van Tassell to spend the weekend at his ranch home. "Mrs. Douglas Magley of Red Hook, New York, is visiting visit-ing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd. Mrs. Magley, the former Nancy. Todd is enjoying greeting her many old lriends who call to visit her mother who has been seriously ill. The regular Sunday service at 11 a. m. was conducted by Arson DeLay at the Presbyterian Presbyter-ian Church. Music for prelude and postlude and hymr&was rendered by Mrs. Melvin Schwartz. No service will be conducted on the Memorial Day weekend and the regular service will be held Sunday, June 5, with Rev. J. Walton Roth in charge. A cordial invitation is extended. Mrs. Laura Dennis came from Visalia, Calif. , to visit members of her family. She spent a few days in Hiawatha with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bingham, who brought her to Myton. While here she will be a guest of her three sons and a daughter and their families, fam-ilies, Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Dennis and Mr.' and Mrs. Devon (Lila) Gentry. Mrs. Dennis was an early pioneer of the Uintah Basin and at the advanced age of 94 years is enjoying en-joying greeting her many old friends. A meeting of the Democratic Precinct 32 was held Monday evening at the Myton City Building. Chairman Wm. H. Linck called the meeting to order. Special business was the election of new officials: chairman, Leo Haueter; vice chairman, Elaine Roberts; secretary-treasurer, Bernice Haueter. Seven delegates were elected, Wm. H. Linck, Russell Gingell, Lowell Roberts, Leo Haueter, Elaine Gingell, Lowell Roberts,' Leo Haueter, Elaine Roberts, Bernice Ber-nice Haueter and Ila Rae Gingell. Mrs. Gladyes Dart will leave Wednesday for Salt Lake to be with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Zorko who will come 1 from Ely, Nevada, to enter a Salt Lake hospital for surgery. Members of the Ladies Aid were busy at a "quilting bee" at the Presbyterian church Tuesday and Wednesday. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to the group during the afternoon hour. Many friends joined to lend assistance with the project. -' ' f' &'! . HOLLIS HULLI NGER SEEKS REELECTION Hollis G. Hullinger, president presi-dent of the Duchesne County Board of Education is seeking reelection from the school representative precinct No. 2 Roosevelt. He is the only incumbent member of the school board to seek reelection, so far. Candidates have until 30 days prior to the Nov. 8 general election in which to file for the office. The precincts pre-cincts to be filled by election this fall, for four-year terms are No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3. Incumbent school board members mem-bers are Marion A. Harrison, Neola, No. 1 precinct; Mr. . Hullinger and Nathan D. Allen, Myton No. 3. Hullinger is completing his first four-year term.
