Show "Expedition Into The Great Outdoors", Monday The popular, new Flaming Gorge recreation area is the setting for the opening portion of "Expeditions Into The Great Outdoors", a two-hour outdoor adventure film that will be shown at the new Duchesne High Gymnasium, Monday night, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m, The show takes its Viewers on a float trip down the river below Flaming Gorge Dam as well as showing the magnificent magnifi-cent scenery of the area, the fantastic fishing (including unique underwater scenes of fishing on the reservoir, in the river and waterskiing. It includes in-cludes pheasant hunting in Nebraska, hunting for big trophy mulies through Desolation Desola-tion Canyon, a canoe trip trrough the Canadian wilderness that shows excellent closeups o; bi game and other wildlife, beautiful scenery and catching lunker size trout. The fifth portion of the show "Soliloquy of the Logan" is an artistic essay on the Logan River and canyon which shows tie river and the wildlife of the canyon through spring, summer, autum and winter. This part was included in-cluded in the show especially f( the people who have little or no interest in fishing and hunt-but hunt-but do enjoy wildlife and the beauty of the outdoors, said Hardman. The whole show has won wide-acclaim and glowing comments from both audiences and professional newspaper movie critics. Mel Hardman describes wildlife photography as a highly competitive field, especially in recent years. He and Davison have bakegrounds that include not only professional photogra- phy but professional work in conservation. Hardman narrates the show drawing from his ten years experience in radio broadcasting and film narrating. It has received wide-acclaim from both sprotsmcn and nature lovers, together with newspaper movie critics as tip outstanding wildlife film to be shown in Utah and the Intermountain west. |
