Show BRIDGELAND AND ARCADIA NEWS The home of Kathy Clay-burn's Clay-burn's was the scene of a birthday birth-day party Saturday when a group of friends surprised her on her eleventh birthday. Those enjoying the fun were: Karen and Sue Allred, Jane Monks, Eileen Peatross, Joyce Haueter, Terisa Deller, Karen Lamb, Cathy Ivie, Pam Larsen, Amy Clayburn, Mar Layne Mull ins and Laurie Allen. Games and dancing, birthday cake and ice cream, made the afternoon go by all too quickly. Mr. and Mrs. Bill She par d went to Salt Lake City Tuesday Tues-day to consult Bill's doctor. They enjoyed a few days of visiting before returning home .Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thompson Thomp-son of Orem were weekend visitors of the Joe Clayburns. Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Clayburn are sisters. Mrs. Juanita Duke and son. , Rodney, came from Salt Lake to attend the funeral of Clarance Murry. While here they were guests of Mr. and Mrs, Frank Holgate. Speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening were Wilford Evans, High Councilman, Council-man, Lester Maxfield of Alto-nah, Alto-nah, and Louis Rawlins from Roosevelt. Nancy Gilbert played an organ solo. Mr. and Mrs. Julis Zerker and Pam of Washington were greeting friends at church Sunday. They made their home in Arcadia for a number of years. Miss Elonor Capson, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cap-son Cap-son of Arcadia, will go on tour with the Brigham Young University A Cappella Choir. They left March 18 and will perform in the states of Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, and Nebraska before returning home to Provo April 1. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyers and family have been spending their vacation here with his mother, Leta Meyers, and her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Chandler of Mytoru College. students home for the weekend were Colleen Bell, Carolyn Meyers, Lucy Lusty, Dee and Dacy Murphy. |
