call for a meeting scheduled for Thursday evening As this is being written before the meeting its results cannot be commented on here but the move itself is significant and the results should have the support of the entire population Last years year's Stampede got not under way vay rather slowly vly because of financial doubts and it was vas only after contributions were vere gathered from the business businessmen men of Duchesne that things went vent ahead smoothly When the contributions were vere solicited a promise was vas given that every effort would be made to keep the fund thus created intact as a starting fund for future Stampedes Fortune smiled on the committee to the extent that not only the original fund but a little extra was vas left over and approximately was vas left available for the start of this years year's event While a celebration of this kind calls fora for a great deal of effort some sacrifice and the invariable amount of criticism of those in charge charger it is nevertheless less one of the activity activity b of the year and one which brings not only increased business but much favorable publicity to our city Duchesne has an ideal setting for a Tuesday when the life and character of Hazel Bennion Taylor were vere eulogized at ather ather ather her funeral services at Mt Emmons One of the speakers a woman said that she believed many luany t times unearned praise was vas given at a funeral but that in inthis inthis inthis this particular case she felt it would be impossible to say enough good things about the character of the theone theone theone one who vho was vas mourned and this seemed to reflect the feelings of most of those who vho were vere present and who vho had been acquainted with Mrs Taylor Opinions differ greatly among us mortals as to I whether or not there is a hereafter or what it actually actually actually actu actu- ally is but one fact seems sure regardless of what rewards re Hazel may find in the spirit world her fine spirit will vill linger on in this world to serve as an inspiration to her family and her friends Along with lith the grief and sorrow v of losing a aa aa aa I a daughter and sister so
