Show DEATH TAKES TAKESi FRED GUR i HA RAN J I Well Known Citizen of DC This Vicinity Vicinity VIcinity Vi VI- Passes cs following Illness Of or Long Standing Mourned By Host of Friends s and Relatives Rela Rela- I tives Fred Fre Curran died at his home Thurs Thursday ay morning after several months of illness Mr Curran was taken to the hospital in Salt I Lake City last October to be operated operated operated op op- op- op on for a n turner He seemed to to improve so that he was able to be brought brough to his home He turned for the worst an and was tale taken en back to the hospital about two months ago He was brought home again about two weeks ago since which time his health has gra gradually failed Mr Curran was 51 years of age He was born in the state of Kansas an and about 29 years ago was married to Miss Ethel L. L Branson and to this union eight children were born all of whom are living They are as follows Aubrey Lawrence Elmer Ida Ellsworth Ilene Claude and Mel- Mel ba ha All are living at home with their parents except Aubrey who is married and living in the state I of Washington He is also survived ed by his widow and his mother Mrs Kate S. S Needham of Port Angeles Washington who came and was at the b bedside side of her son when the end came Mr Curran brought his family to the Uintah Basin in 1906 and settled on a homestead six miles below Duchesne on the Duchesne river river river- wl where ere they have resided continuously since Mr Curran made many friends who will mourn his loss He was an exemplary character always willing to do good where service was was' needed He leaves in addi- addi ion to his widow a fine family of I boys and girls t that at will carry on The Uintah Basin Record staff joins the family in this their sad bereavement Funeral services were held in Duchesne today the principal speakers being Frank Connor R. R G. G Porter and L. L A. A Hollen- Hollen beck Interment was in the Duchesne cemetery |
