Show "SALT LAKE, THE ONE BEST BET." The above words were used the other day by an enterprising joung man, a native of Salt Lake, who had just returned from an "extended business trip throughout the western states. In speaking of conditions as he found them in other places he said, "After all is A said and done Salt Lake City is the one best bet, on the boards today. I They can talk about other towns but they'll have to show me when J they find one better than Salt Lake. It is not because I am biased f in favor of Salt Lake. No, there certainly are a number of condi- I; t tions existing here that I am opposed to, both by training and tradition, tradi-tion, but I say after having visited a number of other towns and after , carefully observing the conditions existing in these various places, that Salt Lake has suffered less and is suffering less today from the depressing effects of the late financial panic than any other place I have visited during the last few months, and is the best bet on the boards." |
