Show THE "AMERICANS" IN SUMMIT COUNTY. Tho American county ticket as named by the "committee" last week Is very badly shattered. This week , F. W. Hayt, F. M. Smith, Jos. P. Lang- . ford, R. E. Wight, C. A. Wade, C. J. Bowden, Martha Lanlng, J.P. Sweeney I and Robert Dalglelsh sent tho follow- I lng notice, duly attested, to tho county coun-ty clerk: "You aro hereby notified that I decline tho nomination for the ofllco named on tho American party ticket, certificate of nomination of my- self for that ofllco having been hereto- 1 fore filed with you as county clerk. You aro therefore requested to refrain from allowing my name to be printed upon the official ballot." This will leavo four lono candidates on tho official ballot of tho American party, namely: C. H. Getsch, sheriff, H. S. Townsend, attorney, Jacob Lund-berg, Lund-berg, commissioner, and J. Frank Collins, Col-lins, constable. Mr. Getsch Is located in Idaho, and we understand would not qualify If elected, so It is not worth while wasting votes on him. 9 Park City Record. |
