Show WINNING. Though life may perish and death may come, And the lips that were sweet grow hard and. set, And to all love's calling and words keep dumb Like to those who all love forget, Yet out from the silence that stings like swords, When they cleave their way thro' the clashing strife, Yea, out of that silence which is the Lord's Come the songs of a fairer life. And he who has struggled through want and cold, Who has kepi the road till his feet have trod The summits that shine with the morning's gold, ( Lol he is the nearest to God. Yea, he who went battle was stern and hard, And the blows were heavy, has kept the path And has helped his comrades across the shard, 1 He has conquered both toil and , wrath. For the love of man is the light divine And wherever is toil, or want, or strife, And wherever the chains or the hot tears shine, There is shining the sun of life. 1 O men, who arc moaning in idle ways, PI Is the sky so far then, your souls h above?
