Show MARRYING MARY. That charming and truly American, I Marie C hill, more original perhaps, than any other woman who has appeared ap-peared on the American stage since its inception, will be seen here at the Salt Lake Theatre next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Wednesday matinee, in the new musical musi-cal play, "Marrying Mary," which has been done for her by Edwin Milton Roylc with music by Silvio Hem and the lyrics by Benjamin Hapgood Great things arc expected from "Marrying Mary" by its friends. It is spoken of as a cure for all the trashy musical comedy with which the American theatre public has been surfeited. There is a plot, because a plot was first secured and then the musical comedy was created. In the 'Words of Marie Cahill, if you want a musical comedy, "first get your plot, then go ahead." The play made a decided hit in New York at Daly's Theatre, where it ran for two months. Eugene Cowlcs and the original New York cast and "long-skirted" chorus will all be here. - . |
