Show j JULY WEDDING I One of the loveliest weddings of the season was solemnized July 20 in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, when Miss Virginia Claire Ramsey and William , Denn Garrity exchanged nuptial vows before Very Rev. William E. Vaughan. The bride is a daughter of Lt. Col. John Wilbert Ramsey, USA (retired) and Mrs. Ramsey, 1126 , Michigan Ave. Mr. Garrity is a I son ol the late Harvey L. and Mrs. Margaret Denn Garrity of Copperton. He is a grandson of i William Denn and a stepson of the present Mrs. H. L. Garrity. The bride descended the aisle on the arm of her father. Her gown of white marquisette was styled with a dropped-shoul-der decolletage and gathered sleeves. The deftly fitted bodice and moulded h;pline were banded band-ed with satin. The skirt fanned into a cathedral train, with the heirloom veil of silk illusion drifting over it, created by a cap of rose point lace. The veil was worn by the bride's mother and the cap was first worn by her grandmother, the late Mrs. John Thomas Ramsey of Newark, Del. She carried a white prayer book topped by a miniature rub-rum rub-rum lily set in a cluster of steph-anotis steph-anotis and a ribbon shower. Miss Dorothy Louise Ramsey was maid of honor for her sister; Miss Mona Palmer, Miss Patsy Pearson, Miss Joanne Hale, Miss Billie Goeltz, Miss Roslyn Raleigh Ral-eigh and Miss Mary Pat Garrity, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. Dainty white nylon marquisette marqui-sette gowns were underlined with orchid taffeta petticoats. White horsehair picture hats were banded with the taffeta and they carried arm bouquets of orchid gladioli. The flower girl was Miss Mary Maginnis. Her dress was a replica rep-lica of the bride's. Floyd Cox was best man. Harry Har-ry Welch, Jack Armstrong, John Bieekon, Fred Sorensen and Paul Veilard ushered. Following the nuptial mass, Col and Mrs. Ramsey Ram-sey were hosts at a wedding breakfast at the Fort Douglas club. The newlyweds received congratulatory friends at a reception re-ception at Ft. Douglas Officers Club Friday evening. The bride's mother wore a mauve ballerina mode with baby orchid corsage. Mrs. Garrity wore a cocktail-length cocktail-length green gown enriched with gladioli and rosebuds. An all-over cloth of pointe de Venice lace, which covered the table, was sent for the occasion by an aunt and godmother of the bride, Mrs. Charles Waite Or-ton Or-ton of Sumner, Wash. It was used for the bride's mother's wedding. The three-tiered wedding wed-ding cake was cut by the new Mrs. Garrity in traditional manner man-ner with her father's saber.
