Show TOD park youths enter burglar burglarize 4 ize post office store tooele thoele county sheriff s deputies are investigating the burglarizing of the TOD park branch post of fice and later stimson sons s market which occurred over the weekend four youths were apprehended and confessed to break breaking irIg into the post office but the grocery job was not known until monday morning when the pro proprietor dietor telephoned the sheriff sheriffs s office to report it it was first believed that nothing had been taken from the post of fice but a postal inspector in checking over the branch dincov ered that two registered packages had been stolen the boys rang ing in age from 8 to 13 33 were re leased to the custody of their par ants sunday but upon learning of the second felony committed at the store deputy fay gillette re turned to TOD park to question the boys further there he learned that the boys had left for school that morning but upon checking with the school he found the boys had all been marked absent A search was being made for the young thieves at last reports two youngsters age 3 and 8 were responsible for setting a pair of fires in empty units at the hous ing unit according to the sher iff effs iffs s office other activities of the county peace officers last week included the breaking up of a free for all in a stockton cafe which involve ed 4 men and a woman last thursday night three bur claries glanes were reported to the sher iff and were investigated by the local officers the first was r re e ported at anderson andersons s grocery in grantsville Grants ville where thieves entered the store and took 4 cartons of cigarettes and a stick of bologna barrus drive in on the highway at grantsville Grants ville was burglarized to the extent of 4 00 in change and a radio while arthur mcbride re ported that 50 batteries had been stolen from his garage clues have been picked up on these cases and the investigation is proceeding though the culprits left little evi dence of their identity turned over to the county sher iff on a charge of carnal knowl edge two tao stockton men ha have ve been released on 1000 bond each and will have their preliminary hear ing saturday oct 4 |
