No . further action was taken. An officer responded to a report of a theft of a computer. The officer arrived and met with an employee of the business busi-ness and found a laptop computer com-puter had been taken sometime within the last month. The officer offi-cer was provided a serial num- On July 29 a complainant reported that candy machines in a building that she rents had been tampered with. The complainant said she doesn't usually access the area, but noticed no-ticed things out of place so she checked it out. The officer told her to have the building owner call if he wanted to report the damage since he is the victim. On July 31 police responded respond-ed to a report of a possible DUI driver entering Lindon from Orem. There was a vehicle following fol-lowing that contained two witnesses. wit-nesses. The officer observed the suspect vehicle drive over a curb and sidewalk area as it entered en-tered a parking lot. The officer stopped the vehicle as he was in the parking lot area. After an investigation, he driver was cited for DUI and released. As per state law the suspect vehicle vehi-cle was impounded. On August 2 an officer observed ob-served a traffic offense while on patrol. The officer stopped the vehicle and found an alcohol offense of-fense involving an open container and D.U.I. The officer performed field sobriety tests. The officer arrested ar-rested one male for the above and transported them to the station. The officer collected further evidence evi-dence and cited one male for the above and released them to their residence. The involved vehicle was impounded. An officer was dispatched to a delayed theft. The officer found a delayed theft involving involv-ing trespassing, criminal mischief, mis-chief, and stolen brass fittings occurred. The officer collected some suspect information and photographed examples of the missing parts. |
