Show Hours Changing Soon at Dead Horse Point Park The visitor Center and Museum at Dead Horse Point State Park will be changing its hours of operation on October 1, 1975 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days per week. Then on November 1, 1975 the hours will again change to 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is due to reduced summer help and decreased daylight hours. During the month of August the park recorded 10,883 visitors. For the same month in 1974 the total was 8,903. This represents a 22 increase in August visitation. To date this year the park has recorded 57,660' visitors. This represents repre-sents an increase in visitation to date of 44.6. The Utah State Highway Department has completed patching and chipping the road to Deak Horse Point from highway 163. For interest of the local residence of Moab, the road has been taken over by the Utah State Highway Department and it has also been assigned a Highway I Number 313. t |
