Show New Drilling Scheduled Near Moab A new "wildcat" well will be drilled about 11 miles northwest of Moab reports Carlton Stowe, Utah Geological Survey - specialist. Ferguson & Bos worth of Bakersfield, California have done preliminary geologic work on the planned 5,-500 5,-500 foot test to the Permian Per-mian age formation. The well is No. 1 Cullen-Govt., Cullen-Govt., in section 7, township town-ship 24S, range 21E, Grand County. The approximate ap-proximate location is nearly 13 miles northeast north-east of Long Canyon field. There has been some previous scattered drilling done in the general ge-neral area just to the west of Arches National Park. In other activity in the State, the Ute Indian Agency Ag-ency at Fort Duchesne, will hold an oil and gas lease sale on 34,003 acres ac-res of Reservation lands just north of Altamont field in Duchesne County.
