Show New Exploratory Drilling Scheduled for Utah Several new exploratory well sites have been located in Utah this week reports Carlton Stowe, Utah Geological & Mineral Survey specialist. The Division of Oil, Gas and Mining approved four "wildcat" "wild-cat" locations one of which will be drilled by Mountain Fuel Supply at their No. 1 Henrieville about seven and a half miles southwest of the town of Henrieville in Kane Colunty. Mountain Fuel plans to drill the well to at least 5. .100 feet to test the Cedar Mesa formation. forma-tion. Four miles northeast of Price, Willard Pease Drilling Company of Grand Junction plans to drill a 3,650 foot test at the No. 4 Price. The well site is eight miles northwest of closest production in the vicinity. In Cache County, Warner Valley Oil Company of Salt Lake City is to drill two wells about 12 miles north of Logan. The operator has scheduled the No. 4 Harris and No. 10 V Meeds-Sot. I'arlier V this year, drilling in the vicinity of the Sz.ot residence in S northern Utah uncovered gas bearing horizons. About JO miles north of the town of Cisco in Grand County, Atlantic Richfield J reports it has recovered gas Mow ing at the rate of a million F cubic feet per day from a depth i of about 7,500 feet at the No. 2-1 Arco-Slate well in the Fast Canyon area.
