Show I First Aid Kit Taken From Ambulance Police Chief Mel Dalton reports that sometime during the previous night or early morning hours July 22, the old ambulance was broken into while it was purked at the hospital. This is the second incident involving vandalism and theft from the ambulance department ut the hospital. The passenger w indow was broken out, and extensive first aid kit taken. Most of the contents were recovered in the vicinity of the hospital, but still missing are a stethoscope, blood pressure cup and poison antidote kit, total value of $100. The incident is still under investigation. Chief Dulton also stated that a juvenile is under arrest, charged with arson in connection connec-tion with a recent fire. The juvenile w ill be turned over to juvenile authorities for action. On July 20 at 12:45 a.m. at 1st West and 1st South. Chris Hibl, driving a 1957 Dodge pickup south, evidently fell asleep and his vehicle went across the curb hitting Triangle Trian-gle House, doing between $2,000 and $3,000 damage to the building and about $500 damage to the truck. He was charged w ith driving under the influence of an intoxicating beverage. At 9:30 p.m. July 18 at 2nd South and 3rd East, Jerry Cowan, driving a 1974 Jeep from a field, hit a motor block which he failed to see, doing about $050 damage to his vehicle. The accident was on private property, therefore no citations were issued. On July 19 at 8:50 a.m. at 87 West 1st North, Tommy Walischicd ... back! 0 . International Scout and backed into a 1967 Chevrolet belonging belong-ing to Earl Oliver, doing about SI 50 damage to the Chevrolet and $50 damage to the Scout. Walterschicd was cited for improper backing, causing an accident. At the intersection of 2nd South and Sundial July 20 at 5:25 p.m., Wesley Paddock was driving a 1975 Yamaha and hit a 1972 Oldsmobile driven by David Dalton, doing about $200 damage to both bike and car.
