K1 Mr. and Mrs. James Shannon Couple United in Marriage In February 14th Ceremonies A double rkige ceremony in the Community Baptist Church on Feb. 14, united Jatmes P. Shannon, son of Mr. and Mrs, James M. Shannon Shan-non of Blanding, and Susan Foy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Foy, in marriage. mar-riage. Wearing a floor length lace Cinderella gown with: a five, tiered' train, the bride carried car-ried a bouquet of yellow roses and feathered football mums. The couple recited their vows, which were lead by Rev. Emil M. Balla, while flanked by large bouquets of white glad-idlai glad-idlai and yellow mums. An felbow length veil of white illusion cascaded from an orchid headpiece of lace and beads. The young couple were led down the aisle by two flower girls, Pat and Pam Callahan with Jjeff Westwood acting as ring bearer. In attendance as best man was Ferris Full-man Full-man with ushers Dave Tur-mon, Tur-mon, Vernon Erb, Kirk Foy, Jim Foy, and Jack Foy assisting. as-sisting. Maid of honor was Marilyn Mari-lyn Foy and acting as bridesmaids brides-maids were: Sandra Foy, Joan Shannon, Mary Shannon, Shan-non, and Jeanie Greenlaw. The attendants were attaired in floor length yellow gowns with empire waists. They carried bouquets of large football foot-ball mums with a yellow butterfly but-terfly in the cfenter. Veils' were of yellow net attached to a row of butterflies. A reception feted the couple in the fellowship hall immediately imme-diately following the ceremony. cere-mony. Each table was adorned adorn-ed with yellow football mums. Center of attraction was the four tier wedding cake topiped with a miniature minia-ture bride and groom. The cake, which was decorated by Shirley Stewart, was done in yellow and white, carrying carry-ing out .the bride's colors. Refreshments Re-freshments of punch, mints, nuts, cake and coffee were served to gujests. Wearing a yellow knit dress, the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom, in a cream colored ensemble, greeted guests. Those .girls who helped the bride with the wedding and attended to many duties at the reception were: Denise Ballam, Aileen Christiansen, Brenda Brake, Kathy Good-wine, Good-wine, Colene Ohristensen, Jeri Brown, Katy Brown, Jan McPherson, Gay Shafle Vonna Dalton, Marge Foy, Gaye Scheffel, and Francie Foy. Pictures of the couple were done by Max Dicken of Dove Creek, Colorado. Attending the wedding from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Westwood and Children from Wells, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Callahan Calla-han and children, Salt Lake City; Shirley Ann Lamb and children, Naturita, Colo.-Gaye Colo.-Gaye Scheffel, Idaho; Mrs'. Georgia Greenlaw, Granger; and Sharon Bradshaw, Grand Junction, Colo. |
