Show Traffic Mishaps Investigated By Police Several minor traffic accidents acci-dents occupied City Police officers during the past week. On February 25, Janet E. Berna backed her 1939 Ford into a truck owned by Utah Power and Light in the UF&L parking lot doing about $150 damage to the car. There was no damage reported to the truck. . Joanne Shilakis drew a citation ci-tation for failing to report an accident on Feb. 27 after she hit a stop sign at Holiday Holi-day Haven. Damage to her car was 'about $75 and the sign was valued at $25. A fire hydrant was damaged damag-ed on March 4, when Jerri Lynn Patterson in a 1961 Ford struck it. Damage to the car was about $150 and damage to1 the hydrant was, as yet, undetermined. Stolen property kept officers offi-cers busy with investigations this week as reports of nuerohandise being taken were reeeived. On March 2, a bike was stolen from Lawrence Gene Lusk, value $45. March 3, a Kodak camera valued at $65 was taken from th car of Bobbie Bob-bie Neal, and on Feb. 26, five blankets were stolen from tho car of Ginger Hutton at a valuation of $50. In other action during the first week in March, Kevil Charles Burwell was cited for speeding and Phillip Lee Be-i-son was picked up for DWI. One runaway juvenile was held for his parents. On March 3, Police Chief Melvin S. Dalton attended an eight hour training session in Monticello on crime investigation. inves-tigation. Another officer, Gilbert Gil-bert Barnett will be returning return-ing this week from Weber State College where he has been attending school. This leaves only one man on tha force, Lawrence Rowley to complete the instruction curse for law officers. |
