Show Mishaps Here Checked by Police Dept. Although Moab City Police officers stated that there had been no reports of accidents ac-cidents since the snowstorm, snow-storm, they were confronted confront-ed with several minor accidents acci-dents in the week preceding the wet weather. On Dec. 7, Rhonda Christine Chris-tine MeCormick was driving on Cliffview Street when her attention wandered from her driving and her car drifted to the right side of the s!reet hitting a parked 1953 Cliev Pickup truck belonging be-longing to Dan Welch. There was about $70 in damage to the MeCormick vehicle. The truck was not damaged and no citations were issued. Also on Dec. 7, local officers of-ficers pursued a car that they observed to be speeding speed-ing on Mill Creek Drive. After Af-ter stopping the vehicle they arrested Esquipula Torres for DWI. It was reported to City Police officers that some time over the Thanksgiving weekend an unknown person per-son or persons had removed two tires and wheels and the battery from an IH Scout owned by Lyle Kitchingham. In later investigation it was discovered that there was a quarter of a chord of firewood fire-wood that was also missing. Total value of the missing articles was estimated to be about $40. Investigation is continuing into the matter. An accident on Dec. 3 caused caus-ed only minor damage to a car owned by Dan Nelson and parked in the Southeast Elementary School parking lot. The car was hit as a M2 Ford driven by Phillip McFarland attempted to back from the lot. There was about $40 in damages, but no citations were issued since the accident occurred on private property. A complaint was signed by Rov Maki, proprietor of the Westerner Grill, on Dec. 9. J.nr a charge leveled against ag-ainst Ronald Dull for destruction des-truction of property on Dec. 5. In the incident, Dull and a companion came to the cafe at about 2:45 a.m. on the fifth. The two sat down at a table for a cup of coffee, cof-fee, suddenly, without apparent ap-parent reason, Dull yelled, stood up in the booth, jumped jump-ed over the back of the sent and onto the table of f. booth in the rear of him. As he scrambled from the table, he struck a patron in the nose with his head, causing caus-ing a nose bleed. He kicked another patron in the chest and then jumped from the table and ran from the cafe.
