Mrs. Maurine Neilson and daughter Patsy and Mrs. Louise Padgen and daughter Patsy, were Salt Lake City visitors last Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Woodland are planning to spend the week end in Brigham City with rela-tives and to attend the wedding reception of their granddaughter, Miss 'Merlene Thompson, daugh-ter of Mrs. Axel Olson of Brig-ha- m City, and Wayne Bragger. son of Mr. and Mrs. Bragger of Willard at Brigham Fifth ward meeting house on February 12. The couple will be married Fri-day, February 9, In the Salt Lake LDS temple. Mr. and iMrs. Woodland will accompany them through the temple. j LOCAL NOTES ' Mr. and Mrs. Elmo A. Steele entertained', MISS ZELDA HOGGAN and WILLIAM DENVER WED IN CHURCH RITES In impressive rites solemnized Saturday February 3, at St. Paul's Kpiscopal church. Salt Lake City, Miss ZelJa Hoggan became the bride of William Denver. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Bailess of Salt Lake City. Mr. Denver is a son of Mrs. Ann Denver of Cop-perto- n and the late Jawes Den-ver. Rev. Mortimer Chester offici-ated at the sinftle-rin- g ceremony which was soli mhized before the altar illumined with white tap-ers. Immediately following the ceremony, newly weds were hon-ored at a reception in the Vene-tian room of the Newhouse ho-tel. Given in marriage by her un-icl- e, Albert E. Schilling, the bride was radiant in an original gown of traditional white satin of Ren-- ! aissanre Adaption. The sheer yoke was bordered by an Eliz-- I abethan collar trimmed with jTrapunto embroidery and adorn-- : ed with seed pearls and beading, A tapered bodice accented the court-lik- e bouffant skirt which ;ave a redingote effect reveal--' ing an underskirt of fluted lace. The border of the skirt was em--( broidered to match the collar, and the hoop skirt developed in a chapel train. Adorning her hair was a lace veil belonging to her grandmother. She earned a pray er book marked with a triple camelia. ' Gowned in like dresses of gray laee over Bright Promise pink satin styled with boat necklines and ballerina-lengt- h full skirts were bridal attendants, Miss Nan ley iMcConahay, Miss Bette Ren-'.'ha- w and tiny flower maids. Miss Kathy Hechler and Miss Bonnie Aste. They wore wreaths of pink satin and laee in their hair and carried bouquets of sweet peas in pink and white shades. Standing with the bridegroom as best man was Robert Telford, hile John D. Breckon and Cal Eiickson assisted as ushers. Lar-ry B 'iless was junior usher and Glen Bailess was ring bearer. For her daughter's wedding, Mr.'Y Bailess was gowned in lav-ender crepe. Mrs.- - Denver chose fuschia crepe and an aunt of the liride, Mrs. Schilling wore cham-pagne lace. They pinned corsag-es of camelias to their should-ers. Far traveling, new Mrs. Den-ver chose a driss of gray wool accer 'ed with brown suede ac-cessories. The couple will return to Salt Lake City where they will .' .side. Pou:.ng at the reception were Mrs. Albert Hoggan, Mrs. Frank Hoggs.n and Mil Elizabeth Hech ner. Hostesses were Miss Elaine English and Miss' Jean Fuucett.
