Show Air Conference Set in Washington A pro-hearing conference confer-ence in the Frontier Airlines Air-lines application to discontinue dis-continue service to Moab has been scheduled by the Civil Aeronautics Board for August 7 in Washington, D.C.; it was announced this week by Robert S. Campbell, Jr., counsel for Utah Agencies, Agen-cies, the major voice for Moab and Grand County interests in the case. At that hearing, according ac-cording to Mr. Campbell, parties to the matter will outline their cases before be-fore a CAB hearing judge, and a formal hearing hear-ing on the matter will be set on the calendar. The Utah Agencies attorney said he was hopeful that the full hearing would be scheduled in the West, rather than in Washington. Washing-ton. The CAB, in formal action two weeks ago, denied Frontier's application ap-plication to immediately suspend service to Moab and stated that it intended to probe the allegations made by various parties in a full-scale hearing. At that time, Frontier Airlines stated that as soon as arrangements could be made, they would resume daily service ser-vice to Canyonlands Field, probably around the middle ofSeptember. Meanwhile, the U'.h Public Service Commission Commis-sion has not acted on a request from Sun Valley-Key Valley-Key Airlines of Salt Lake City, that they hold in abeyance, Sun Valley's authority to begin commuter com-muter service from Salt Lake City to Moab and return on a daily basis. Sun Valley was the winner win-ner in a three-airline fight for the authority earlier this summer. Sun Valley-Key official, offi-cial, Robert Soltys, took issue with comments made by The Times-Independent last week. Mr. Soltys' letter is published publish-ed on Page A-2 of this issue. y : 1- -iJ ak, ' . v s r -r . . .:' '"rj A swimming ticket at the Steen House entitles the holder to all-day swimming, and the enjoyment of the graceful flagstone terrace, shady landscaping and sweeping view of Moab Valley.
