Show Burton Pushing for 4-Corners Mental Health Center WASHINGTON Rep. Laurence J. Burton, R-Utah, R-Utah, this week in let-, ters' to the Secretary of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare,. Elliot S. Richardson, and Dr. Bertram S. Brown, Director Di-rector of the National Institute In-stitute of Mental Health, cited the serious need for a Four Corners Area Comprehensive Com-prehensive Mental Health Center, and urged that funding be provided. "Writing in behalf of the constituents in my district who would be served by a rural mental health center," the Utah Congressman stated, "I wanted to make known to : you my deep interest in this Center and my hope that the staffing application applica-tion submitted by the Center Cen-ter can be funded during this fiscal year." Rep. Burthn pointed out that County Commissioners Commission-ers within the region have, for two years, work ed closely with state and federal mental health of-fjicials of-fjicials in order to plan and complete the staffing grant application for Utah's first rural mental health center. "Moreover," Burton continued,, "funds have been provided by the advisory council for the Utah State Division of Indian In-dian Affairs for a Navajo center staff member to work with the Indian people." peo-ple."
