Show jyionb Opens Grid Season This Friday Against Monticello ' Class 8 Chomps High School football explodes ex-plodes on the early fall scene this week with a play-for-kceps contest featuring fea-turing one of the state's hottest rivalries. Defending Region Six champion, Moab, travels to Monticello to meet the State B Champion Buck-aroos Buck-aroos in a 1:30 p.m. clash. There is no pre-season, practice flavor to this one. At Monticello, coach Ray Odette is trying to shore up a line that was wiped out by graduation. Odette welcomes back 3 of four starting backs from his champion team, but the one loss was all-stater all-stater Mark Adams. He also lost the Class B MVP in Jeff Rogers from the line along with a fine tackle, tac-kle, Stan Purccll. Leading the Monticello charge will ' be halfback Curtis Redd and David Bronson, both quick and both experienced. experienc-ed.
