Show : J I r i ' it I , f . ;v : , y -: .' ' - urr: Racing in Europe . . . Former Moab resident Jonathan Boyer is causing quite a stir in the professional bicycling world in Europe. The 22-year old racer is considered by some to be the best touring racer ever produced by this country. Boyer may prove to be the first American to enter the prestigious Tour de France this year. The near month-long event follows a route that covers virtually all the areas of France, including a long and grueling section over the French Alps. Boyer has been a professional racer for only two years and has had a meteoric rise in his standing in the tough European circuit. Although he now resides in France, he discounts any possibility of taking French citizenship. He hopes to be the first American to enter and possibly win the Tour de France. |
