Show Former Moab Resident Died Lottie Darlene Bowles, 42, formerly Lottie Peterson, who was born and raised in Moab, died Friday, October 29 in Naturita, Colorado. Lottie was born in Moab on March 15, 1934 and attended Grand County schools. On July 5, 1951 she married Vernon K. Bowles in Aztec, New Mexico. They have made their home in Naturita for 17 years, and Lottie was bookkeeper for Riverside Garage besides being be-ing a housewife for her husband and two children. She was a member of the LDS church and belonged to the Wednesday Morning Coffee Club. Mrs. Bowles is survived by her husband Vernon and their two children, Ruth Ellen and Denzil Keith of Naturita; three grandchildren, Scotti, Mikki, and Brian Bowles; her mother, Irene Olsen Peterson of Moab; four sisters Sandra I. Eshom and Helen McNeely of Moab, Frankie Wigglesworth of New Jersey, and Phyllis Christen-sen Christen-sen of Provo; and three brothers. Bob Nelson of Moab. Carlyle (Kike) Peterson of Alaska, and LeGrand Nelson of California. Services were held in Naturita, Colorado, on Monday, Mon-day, November 1 and interment inter-ment took place in Norwood, Colorado. |
