The two-day presentation will be patterned after the uranium workshop for industry indus-try held at the Grand Junction Junc-tion Office in the past two and a half years. The Instrue tion and discussion will center cen-ter around the distribution and geology of domestic and foreign uranium deposits; the geological, geophysical and geochemical techniques used in exploring for new deposits; de-posits; uranium mine development; devel-opment; milling methods; and economics of the uranium uran-ium industry. Between April. 1966, and May, 1968, the Grand Junction Junc-tion AEC Office conducted 17 industry workshops attended at-tended by 767 representatives of 275 different companies and 84 individual consultants. Dates for AEC workshops are established when suffici- ent applications are received from industry. The demand for this service continues and an 18th workshop was held October 15-17 with 70 people in attendance. Another is scheduled in November with 75 persons already signed up Applications are being received re-ceived for yet another workshop work-shop to be held probably in January, 1969. |
