Show : County Agrees to Plans, Schedules Rood Work : The Grand county and Moab City Planning Boards f have agreed that a city- county master plan, with modifications, is essential. Charles Brechtel, chairman chair-man of the County Board, met with the Grand county Commission Monday to suggest sug-gest that the firm of Plan-lig Plan-lig and Research Associates be contacted to negotiate such a master plan. His 'Uggestion was adopted by the Commission. , 'u The $4,500 bid of D. A. i Swanny" Kerby was accepted ac-cepted for furnishing stock , fr the forthcoming Grand county Rodeo, on June 9-10. One other bid was entered fcy B. R. McKee, at $4,700. The Commission signed a cooperative agreement with 3 the Utah State Department f Highways for improvements improve-ments on the Dead Horse Point State Park access rad. Estimated cost of the 'mprovement is $40,000. The county will provide manpower manpow-er and equipment equal to 415,000 of the amount; the State has appropriated $25,- 000 in manpower, equip-men equip-men and materials. The County purchased a weed burner for the County Road Department, with the tank rental at $15 per year. The burner will be made available to Grand county residents at $1 per day if they provide their own butane. bu-tane. The equipment has 50 feet of hose, and is ideal for large area cleanup projects; pro-jects; arrangements for rental ren-tal may be made through the County Rbad Shop. The Commission agreed to provide road equipment and manpower to install 3 cattleguards in the Triangle 1 i Crlrrn fr and Dolores rivers, at the request of the Bureau of Land Management. The request of Mrs. Betty Farrow for transportation expenses to attend a two diy State Library Conference Confer-ence in Salt Lake City was referred to the Library j Board for decision.
