Show Former Moabite Weds California Man Former Moabite, Miss Arleen Ellis, was manned Saturday, Feb. 11, in evening even-ing rites performed at the Gretna Green Wedding Chapel, in Downey, Calif. Miss Bllis is the daughter of the late George Gilbert (Bert) Ellis, Moalb, and Mrs. Doris Miller Ellis, of Commerce Com-merce City, Calif. She was wed to Michael Moffet, a member of the U. S. Marine Corps. The bride wore a formal wedding gown of white satin sat-in brocade, with a shoulder veil held toy a seed pearl crown. The groom wore Marine Dress Blues. Reception iHeld The bride's brother, Bob Miller, gave her away; best man was her brother, Tim Miller, and ushers Jerry Powell and an uncle of the groom. Georgeanna Corn-well Corn-well presided at the guest book. following the ceremony the couple were honored at a reception at the home of the Jerry Powells at Commerce Com-merce City. The new Mrs. Moffet will remain with her mother to continue her college studies until her husband returns from an overseas assignment assign-ment with the Marine Corps She is a former student of Grand County schools, and her two grandmothers, Mrs. Ann Chamberlain and Mrs. Alice Stocks, reside in Moab. |
