Show WAAIME Group Plans Work For Symposium A meeting of the WAAIME was held Monday Mon-day evening at the home of Mrs. Kurt Linn. Mrs. Bill Painter was hostess for the evening. Symposium Committee rjiorts were given. All but the last minute preparations pre-parations are in order for the ladies luncheon, registration regis-tration and hospitality hour for ladies. The Symposium Sym-posium is slated for June 23, 24 and 25. Dennis Francis, Grand County High School senior sen-ior class valedictorian, was guest at the meeting, and ; tat of plans to attend the Colorado School of Mines as a geoghysics major. The WAAIME members voted to subsist his college col-lege expenses with a $200 tuition grant for one quarter quar-ter of college. It was reported the books ordered for the Grand County Library ar- - rived just before fire destroyed des-troyed the building. It i assumed the SS.?.'.1? worth o iT'r'og, geology and minerals boks were saved with the other books pulled, pull-ed, from the burning building- A now charter was received, re-ceived, and presented to the group, officially changing chang-ing the name from "Utah IT'.nium Section" to "U-tah "U-tah Southeast." One more meeting will be scheduled prior to the Symposium, after which the WAAIME will disband for the summer.' |
